The Chickadee

The chickadee represents awareness and joy.

Awareness, because they are known for warning others in the environment of danger, with calls that are fine-tuned to the type and severity of the predator. Dozens of other species listen for their signals.

And joy, because they sound so endearingly cheerful. Even among songbirds, many of which sound quite positive and uplifting, they stand out as particularly joyful. They’re also just … total cuties!

Together these form the foundation of my coaching practice. Your joy as your North Star, and your awareness as your universal tool.

I have a deep love for all birds. Especially the tiny ones. The tiniest birds are often the loudest and most opinionated. Golden-cheeked warblers, Carolina wrens, hummingbirds, kinglets, and of course, chickadees. They are super small and have a large presence. It fills me with wonder that you can fit so much life in such a small package.
